GEDCO receives presitgious Bank of America Neighborhood Excellence Award

GEDCO was honored with a national award for their excellence in community development with a Bank of America Neighborhood Excellence Award.

Vying for this award with 3,000 nominated non-profits in the nation, Govans Ecumenical Development Corporation received one of the two regional and 80 national awards from Bank of America. Along with a generous financial gift of unrestricted operating funds, this award comes with important management training for the Executive Director and an identified "emerging leader" of the organization. Hailed for their success in creating a model affordable retirement community at the site of the former Memorial Stadium in Baltimore, GEDCO received this award that positions them to continue innovative development in the future.
