Fells Point Main Street is seeking a part time bookkeeper (approximately 12 hours per month)
Job duties
• Data entry into Quickbooks for A/P and A/R
• Keeps records of financial transactions for establishment, using calculator and computer: Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents, such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.
• Summarizes details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfers data to general ledger, using calculator or computer.
• Reconciles and balances accounts and bank statements
• Prepare monthly Profit/Loss statements
• Prepare cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and other reports as needed pertinent to operation of business.
Position reports to Executive Director
Position requirements
• Thorough knowledge of Quickbooks, preferably Quickbooks for Nonprofits
• Two (plus) years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Two or Four year college degree.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Responsible, dependable, and organized work habits.
