Jan Hoffberger

Jan is a Weinberg Fellow from the class of 2003

Jan has worked in the nonprofit community for over 25 years. Her experience has included work with community service, arts and disability organizations. In addition to her work with The Klompus Family Foundation, she is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Maryland Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Jan is a founding member of the Weinberg Fellows Giving Circle and serves on the Circle's steering committee. She also is a member of Anne Arundel Women Giving Together.

The Foundation funds organizations that serve women and girls in Anne Arundel County who are marginalized by poverty, violence, disability or lack of education that result in discrimination and/or lack of opportunities. The foundation looks for projects that provide empowerment, enhance opportunity, expand education or in any way improve the ability of women and girls to attain a happy and healthy lifestyle.

The Klompus Family Foundation, Inc. programming includes disability, domestic violence, drug intervention, education, family & children, food programs, health, housing, homeless services, job training, literacy & tutoring, mental health, mentoring, services for seniors, and youth services.
